Leaving your dog at a boarding kennel is sometimes the only option during holidays.
- First, ask your vet or friends for recommendations.- Do an inspection beforehand, and visit with your dog, so he can become familiar with it.
- Make sure your dog is fully vaccinated, wormed and flea-free.
- Ensure your dog is not in season.
- Book well in advance for school holiday periods.
- Book your dog in for the day before you leave, so he won't be stressed as you run around packing the entire family's worldly goods.
- Bring a favourite toy and blanket.
- Leave contact details, and those of your vet.
